Hello and welcome to balancebiketrainer.com. My name is Kenneth Elliott and I am the owner and operator of this site. balancbiketrainer.com came out of my deligant though of getting my 3 year old to learn to ride a bike, starting with the purchase of a balance bike. Back in September of 2009 I ran across balance bikes just searching about the net trying to find a bike for my son. I read many testimonials that stated amazing result from people who have purchases a balance bike for their son's or daughters. I had to try one out. So for that Christmas I purchases a Prince Lionheart balance bike for my son. To this day he loves this bike. He is still working to try to balance it but I see progress.

After purchasing the bike I was so intrigued with it I decided to see if I could spread the word and see want other bikes are available. At the time I did not find many. They were not sold in any store so I decided why don't I sell them. So here I am. I LOVE these bikes. They are safe and they actually work.

Here is a little background to the evolution of balance bikes:

Balance Bikes are new to the American Market but they have been popular in the European market for years. The concept is to teach your child to ride a bike without the headache of having them have to worry about peddles and gears. The basic knowledge is for your child to push the bike with his/her feet and as they learn to balance themselves they will eventually bring their feet up and glide with the bike down hills and roads. Once they obtain the gliding technique it is time to upgrade them to an more advanced bike with peddles and gears. But the only thing different will be that they already have the balance issue behind them and the only thing left to learn is how to peddle the bike. It is a completely different way to train your child to ride a bike.
