I would not have believed it unless I had seen it for myself. The guys over at stridersports.com had a product testing in which strider staff (yes adults!!) rode strider balance bikes on the downhill mountain bike trails on M Hill in Rapid City, SD. The only things that were upgraded on the pre-bikes with the wheels (heavy duty wheels also available). This demonstration shows the durability of the Strider pre-bike brand and the abuse the frame and parts can take. You may think that the downhill was non eventful. If you thought that you would be dead wrong. The downhill had plenty of rocks and rough terrain with loose dirt and plenty of rocks that would damage normal bikes. Judge for yourself..
