Often referred to as "run bikes" or "balance bikes" the Smart Gear balance bike is a pedal free bike that does not include training wheels. The bike is first and foremost designed to help your child to learn how to balance a bike at a young age. Smart Gear bikes are designed to develop a child's balance and coordination by allowing the child to sit and walk or run with the bike by pushing with their feet. If the bike begins to fall to either side the child only has to put their feet down to either stop or push the bike back up. Smart Balance Bikes are made from birch wood with real inflatable rubber tires, foam handle bar grips, cushioned leatherette seat and a unique carry handle incorporated in the bikes body.
